OUR ORGANIZATION AND THEOLOGY
OUR ORGANIZATION
GTBS is not an organization but a Bible study system developed by
Mailis Janatuinen while she was working with students
in the Japanese KGK (Kirisutosha Gakusei Kai - Japanese Christian
student group), in Finnish Lutheran Overseas Mission Kylväjä and in the
Finnish student movement OPKO.
The work of KGK and OPKO movements is affiliated with IFES
(International Fellowship of Evangelical Students).
- A group of volunteers is working for Glad Tidings Bible
Studies in many countries on non profit basis.
- Most of the translations are also done and checked by
volunteers
- The questions on this website are free for use, you can print
and copy them as much as you like.

THE WEBSITE AND TRANSLATIONS
The website is maintained and translations with their reviews
are done by volunteers with few exceptions. If you would like to
translate question series to your own language, feel free to do
so, please contact Mailis and address below to let us know about
your project. We will be happy to publish your translations.
If you have any questions about the webpages or if you

OUR THEOLOGY
- The questions are based on Gospel texts, rather than on any
specific theology.
- Our conviction is that the Bible is the infallible Word of
God and its centre is the death and resurrection of Jesus. GTBS
belong to conservative and evangelical mainstream of Protestant
churches.
GLAD TIDINGS BIBLE STUDIES IS BASED ON QUESTIONS
- There are ready made questions
- From all four gospels.
- Altogether 120 central texts have been selected
- to be used as evangelistic Bible studies for reaching new
people
- but the questions are inspiring for Christians as well
- and available in more than ten languages, with new
translations coming all the time.
WHY ARE THEY CALLED GLAD TIDINGS BIBLE STUDIES?
- Glad Tidings means good news, or the gospel. We try to find
the cross of Jesus from every text.
- The main purpose of a Glad Tidings group is to help you and
your friends meet the living Savior and hear his voice as he
speaks through the gospel texts.
- Through these questions you will meet Jesus in every phase of
his life: in the manger, on the roads of Galilee,
on the cross, after his resurrection. You will see him forgiving
sins, performing miracles, teaching parables.
And you will experience him forgiving your own sins and giving
comfort and help to you personally in your present situation.
OUR MOTTO

my name, there I am among them. Matt. 18:20.
